Cozy and warm November (2nd part)
Also, my German roommate, Juli, made November even more special by bringing Christmas decorations, food, and a very nice gift for me. This little surprise made the atmosphere at home even warmer and cozier.
As for my studies, as usual I went to Czech classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. Although the classes were quite challenging, the experience was a real adventure, as the lessons sometimes took place in such diverse places as the meeting room, a restaurant or a hotel room. In addition, I have been active in my language learning, attending Romanian conversations on Tuesdays and Spanish conversations on Wednesdays at the Pilsen Municipal Library. This library has become one of my favorite places, not only because of the classes, but also because I was able to find books in Basque and Catalan, which made me very happy.
One of the highlights of my time in Pilsen has undoubtedly been the food. I have enjoyed both the dishes my roommate has prepared and those I have tried in the local restaurants. One special moment was when a lady in our class gave me stollen, the traditional German Christmas cake, which I tried for the first time thanks to her. Later, my roommate brought it again, this time in her almond version, and I loved it!
I have also continued to practice my English by attending the weekly sessions with Tyler on Wednesdays. It is an excellent opportunity to maintain and improve my English skills. Not only that, but I also visited and went for a walk in Šumava on a Saturday and I really enjoyed it!
Finally, what really makes me happy is the group of friends I have here where we have done various activities; for example, celebrating birthdays, going to Prague, visiting the Christmas markets, and getting through the cold all together. Without them and my roommate this would not be the same.
